This season hasn't been kind to the Magnet Cove Panthers, who are still winless after their sixth game. They were dealt a 68-35 loss at the hands of Centerpoint on Friday. Magnet Cove was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-24.
Centerpoint can attribute much of their success to Brooklyn Cook, who scored 19 points along with 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Killip, who scored 11 points.
Magnet Cove bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Centerpoint, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Magnet Cove will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Maumelle Charter. Maumelle Charter presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Magnet Cove in Arkansas (Maumelle Charter is ranked 81st, while Magnet Cove is ranked 238th). Centerpoint will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Jessieville at 5:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Jessieville is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
