The Indian Springs Student will challenge the Victory Christian Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Indian Springs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

Indian Springs' pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victor by an 11-0 margin over Woodlawn. The win continues a trend for the Student in their matchups with the Colonels: they've now won three in a row.

Eason Zheng looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Indian Springs saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sebastian Bermudez, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Another was Zaid Budhwani, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Victory Christian can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Donoho by a score of 1-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since April 6, 2024.

Indian Springs' win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Victory Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Indian Springs has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .448. However, it's not like Victory Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .443. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
