The Oswego Bucs will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Port Byron Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on October 26th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Oswego beat Notre Dame/Utica Academy of Science 22-14. The victory was just what Oswego needed coming off of a 38-13 defeat in their prior contest.
Oswego's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Matt Willis, who rushed for 161 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Port Byron had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They strolled past Altmar-Parish-Williamstown with points to spare, taking the game 28-14.
Oswego's win bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Port Byron, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
