Central Catholic never let their opponents score on Friday. Everything went their way against the St. Michael's Warriors as Central Catholic made off with a 6-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Buttons in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.

Jacob Schwope tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in February.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Garrett Ticer, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Hall, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Central Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Michael's only posted an OBP of .174.

Central Catholic's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for St. Michael's, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 14 of their last 16 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.
