First Baptist Academy won the last time they faced Waterloo and things went their way on Tuesday too. Everything went the First Baptist Academy Eagles' way against Waterloo as the First Baptist Academy Eagles made off with a 73-48 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Timothy De La Rosa was his usual excellent self, going 11 for 19 en route to 25 points and six steals. Matthew Levine was another key player, going 6 of 14 on his way to 14 points and seven assists.

When it comes to explaining why Waterloo lost, don't look at Isaiah Rees. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Linus Sanchez, who posted 13 points.

First Baptist Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points per game. As for Waterloo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. First Baptist Academy will welcome Heritage Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Heritage Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully First Baptist Academy likes a good challenge. As for Waterloo, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Austin Classical on February 4th.
