Abingdon had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They beat the Northside Vikings on Saturday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 13-3. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 matches by six runs or more this season.

Abingdon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Northside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-9.

Coming up, Abingdon will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Fluvanna County. The last four games the Flying Flucos have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Northside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
