The Anson Bearcats will head out to face off against the North Surry Greyhounds at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Anson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 68.8 points per game this season.
Last Monday, Anson came up short against Parkwood and fell 59-48.

Despite the defeat, Anson got top-tier performance from Jayden Little, who on his way to 23 points and three steals. Little's big performance that evening made it 18 games in a row in which he has scored at least 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taviane Robinson, who posted eight points in addition to 11 boards and five blocks.
Even though they lost, Anson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 41 consecutive matches dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, North Surry had already won 15 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.3 points) and they went ahead and made it 16 on Friday. They were the clear victor by an 82-56 margin over the Golden Eagles. The Greyhounds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 22 points or more this season.
North Surry's win came from a few key players Anson will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Julius Brintle, who en route to 22 points and seven rebounds. What's more, he posted four assists, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Fisher Leftwich, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and 11 boards.
North Surry's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.8 points over those games. As for Anson, their loss dropped their record down to 15-10.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Anson has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 39.3 rebounds per game. However, it's not like North Surry struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.2 boards.
