The Owatonna Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 59-58 to Park Center. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
When it comes to explaining why Owatonna lost, one person who can't be blamed is Morgan Fisher. Despite the final result, she scored 20 points along with four steals. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Ava Olson, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Owatonna's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Park Center, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-7.
Owatonna is on the road again on Thursday and play against Mankato East at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. As for Park Center, they will be playing at home against Blaine at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Blaine is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
