The Del Norte Nighthawks will venture away from home to take on the San Marcos Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Del Norte will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Del Norte's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave on Friday, when they got past Mission Hills' usually-dominant pitching crew. The Nighthawks were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Grizzlies. That's two games straight that the Nighthawks have won by exactly nine runs.

Brooklyn Giaime
| 05/09/25 @ Mission Hills | 6 |
| 05/02/25 vs Rancho Bernardo | 12 |
| 04/25/25 vs San Marcos | 5 |
Brooklyn Giaime spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Lainey LLamas was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Kyles, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Del Norte kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.2.
Meanwhile, San Marcos unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of Mission Hills by a score of 9-8.
Charlotte Shelton was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over 4.2 innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Emily Lew stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 3-for-6 with one triple, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Lily Barstad, who went 1-for-5 with one home run and two RBI.
San Marcos' defeat dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Del Norte, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8-1.
Del Norte skirted past San Marcos 6-4 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Nighthawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
