The South Jefferson Spartans are on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Watertown Cyclones at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th.
South Jefferson fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Raiders on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 55-53.
Meanwhile, Watertown waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Cortland by a score of 61-49. That's two games straight that Watertown has won by exactly 12 points.
South Jefferson has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Watertown, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.
South Jefferson beat the Cyclones 58-48 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Jefferson since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
