There's no place like home for The Bellevue East Chieftains, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They blew past Omaha South 69-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Bellevue East, who have now won four games by 36 points or more so far this season.
Andrew Lucas was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Lucas was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 58 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Chandler, who threw for 160 yards and three touchdowns.
Bellevue East now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Omaha South, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
