Newton County came into Monday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Southeast Lauderdale Tigers on Monday. Considering the Cougars have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Newton County's victory bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Southeast Lauderdale, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-17.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newton County will face off against Enterprise at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southeast Lauderdale, they will square off against Quitman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.05 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
