It was a good run, but the Trotwood-Madison Rams unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 86-79 to Western Hills. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Saturday (73), Trotwood-Madison still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Trotwood-Madison still got an impressive performance from Giovannis Barbar, who scored two points along with 47 steals. Another player making a difference was Tim Carpenter, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds.
Even though they lost, Trotwood-Madison smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 30 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Trotwood-Madison's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4. As for Western Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trotwood-Madison will square off against Springfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Western Hills, they will head out on the road to challenge Taft at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Taft's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 11 contests.
