The Southwind Jaguars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They took a 40-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arlington. Southwind has not had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Southwind lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Canija Madison, who scored five points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Juliannah Sharp, who scored nine points.
Arlington found their leader in underclassman Taylor Miller, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Micaiah Adams was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Southwind has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Arlington, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season.
Southwind will be playing at home against the Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Arlington is on the road again on Friday and plays the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Hopefully Bartlett focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Friday.
