Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Loudon). They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Northview Academy Cougars on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Redskins considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Loudon got a great performance from Brycen Cosner as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Caden Ridings, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Logan Moore was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Loudon's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7. As for Northview Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Loudon will venture away from home to take on South-Doyle at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The contest will give Loudon their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Northview Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against Fulton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Northview Academy will need to watch out since Fulton has now posted at least ten runs in their last six games.
