The Silver Bluff Bulldogs had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.3 points), and they went ahead and made it ten on Thursday. They really took it to Barnwell for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-10 victory at home. Silver Bluff has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 25 points or more this season.
Krystal Johnson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahminah Taylor, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Silver Bluff's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.4 points per game. As for Barnwell, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Silver Bluff will head out on the road to face off against McCormick at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. McCormick will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while Silver Bluff is ranked 45th). As for Barnwell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ridgeland-Hardeeville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Ridgeland-Hardeeville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday.
