The Notre Dame Prep Saints stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They breezed by Horizon at home to the tune of 61-25. Winning may never get old, but Notre Dame Prep sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Notre Dame Prep found their leader in underclassman Ayla Keefe, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds. Keefe hasn't dropped below two steals for 11 straight games. Another player making a difference was Ava Pautz, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Horizon's loss came despite strong showings from Noel Gallegos and Peyton Schiltz. Gallegos scored eight points, while Schiltz scored ten points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Horizon struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Notre Dame Prep pulled down 14 offensive rebounds.
Notre Dame Prep pushed their record up to 16-3 with that win, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 38.67 points. As for Horizon, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.
Coincidentally, Notre Dame Prep and Horizon will both be playing Desert Mountain the next time they take the court. Notre Dame Prep will head out to face Desert Mountain at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while Horizon will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
