The Pocomoke Warriors can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top against Kent County by a score of 82-75. The victory was just what Pocomoke needed coming off of a 94-50 defeat in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pocomoke to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jamir Roberts, who scored 20 points along with six steals. Roberts is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. Zymiere Walker was another key contributor, scoring 24 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
The victory got Pocomoke back to even at 9-9. As for Kent County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Pocomoke will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bennett at 6:00 p.m. Bennett knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten matches -- so hopefully Pocomoke likes a good challenge. As for Kent County, they will head out on the road to take on Kent Island at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kent Island is coming into the contest with four straight losses at home, meaning Kent County will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
