The biggest upset of the week belonged to Wilkinson County, who took down 77th ranked Aquinas, 41-14.
Lincoln County extended the longest winning streak in A Region 7 this week by beating Georgia Military College, 57-7. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
First Presbyterian Day's dynamic duo of Brooks Stroud and Scott McCormick proved tough for Hancock Central to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Stroud threw for 174 yards and three touchdowns and McCormick had 111 yards receiving. Alec Martin helped First Presbyterian Day's passing attack out by catching two balls for 29 yards.
Brendan Douglas was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 111 yards on 26 carries as the Fightin' Irish defeated the Bulldogs. Grey Klosinski also contributed to the rushing game with five yards on the ground.
First Presbyterian Day's Stroud and McCormick have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Stroud has thrown for 962 yards this season, while McCormick, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 22 catches for 540 yards. Douglas from Aquinas leads the league in rushing with 1069 yards.
A big matchup in A Region 7 this week will be when the Vikings take on the Warriors. First Presbyterian Day is currently in third, while Wilkinson County is in second.
The Vikings were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. First Presbyterian Day beat Hancock Central 42-14 earlier in the week.
