After a string of three wins, the Palmer Ridge Bears's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell to Lutheran 51-45. Palmer Ridge found out winning isn't easy when you're outrebounded 12 to 5 on offense.
Despite the loss, Palmer Ridge still got an impressive performance from Delanie Mcmullen, who scored 15 points. Kylie Mayer was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Lutheran got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Berkley Schneider out in front who scored nine points along with six rebounds and five assists. Schneider is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayda Vigil, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Palmer Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Lutheran, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season.
Palmer Ridge will head out on the road to take on Lewis-Palmer at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Lewis-Palmer focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Wednesday.
