The Cambria Heights Highlanders will venture away from home to face off against the Purchase Line Red Dragons at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cambria Heights is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
Cambria Heights barely beat River Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Cambria Heights blew past River Valley 11-1 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Highlanders.
Garrett Jasper was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). Jasper was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Bryce Lewis was incredible, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Nolan Clawson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Cambria Heights hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Purchase Line was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 14-4 to Conemaugh Township.
Christian Moyer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one double. Wyatt Sheredy was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Purchase Line's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Cambria Heights, their record now sits at 3-1.
Purchase Line's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Cambria Heights has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .450. It's a different story for Purchase Line, though, as they've only averaged .253. Will they be able to contain Cambria Heights' hitters?
Cambria Heights was able to grind out a solid win over Purchase Line when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 11-6. Will Cambria Heights repeat their success, or does Purchase Line has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
