Pinellas Park suffered their biggest defeat since November 30, 2023 on Thursday. They suffered a tough 64-39 loss at the hands of Largo. Pinellas Park was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-13.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Northside Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 42-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Canterbury.
Despite the loss, Northside Christian saw an underclassman step up: Sofia Rodriguez scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rodriguez has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney White, who scored eight points.
Pinellas Park's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Northside Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
Pinellas Park took their victory against Northside Christian when the teams last played back in January of 2022 by a conclusive 53-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pinellas Park since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
