The University Prep Academy Golden Eagles waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins but they left with five. They claimed a resounding 80-32 victory over KIPP Navigate College Prep at home. University Prep Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 24 points or more this season.
Bereket Woldemichael was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 17 points. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mathias Woodaj, who scored ten points.
University Prep Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for KIPP Navigate College Prep, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
University Prep Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Latino College Preparatory Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. KIPP Navigate College Prep won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Summit Tahoma at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th.
