Elida is a perfect 10-0 against Dora since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Tigers will host the Coyotes at 2:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Dora will be up against a hot Elida team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Tigers put the hurt on Floyd with a sharp 47-7 win on Friday. That 40-run margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.
Radlee Ferguson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025. He was even better at the plate, getting on base in all eight of his plate appearances with seven stolen bases, seven runs, and three RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season.

In other batting news, Coda Cathey was a standout: he got on base in all eight of his plate appearances with six stolen bases, six runs, and one triple. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 3 runs per game. Another player making a difference was TJ Kennedy, who got on base in all seven of his plate appearances with seven stolen bases, five runs, and four RBI.
Elida always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .897. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .667 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dora). They blew past Jal 25-3 on Friday. With that victory, the Coyotes brought their scoring average up to 10 runs per game.
Isaac Jasso was excellent, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with three stolen bases, five runs, and three RBI. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Rylan Harris was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.
Elida's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Dora, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Elida hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .680. However, it's not like Dora struggles in that department as they've averaged .390. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Elida's way against Dora when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as Elida made off with a 15-5 win. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Coyotes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
