Softball Recap: St. Clair Starts Season with Win on the Road

St. Clair had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They never let the Romeo Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Tuesday. This was payback for the Saints, who suffered a 7-5 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Kadie Badger was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Schneider, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Clair will venture away from home to take on Grosse Pointe North at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Romeo, they and Port Huron Northern will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The match will give the Bulldogs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
