Hylton has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Forest Park Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hylton comes in on a streak of failing to score more than seven points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Hylton fell victim to Freedom's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 73-0 loss at the hands of the Eagles. While losing is never fun, Hylton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Freedom is ranked fourth).
Meanwhile, Forest Park never let their opponents score on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 17-0 victory over Charles J. Colgan.
Forest Park's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyler Shulsky, who threw for 82 yards and two touchdowns. Landon Hunt and his 126 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Forest Park's win.
Hylton's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 2.3 points per game. As for Forest Park, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Hylton lost to Forest Park at home by a decisive 37-20 margin in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. Will Hylton have more luck at home instead of on the road?
