This season hasn't been kind to the Daystar Academy Falcons, who are still winless after their fourth match. They were dealt a 48-20 defeat at the hands of Valeo Academy on Thursday.
Valeo Academy found their leader in underclassman Diego Aguilar, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds. Lukas Duda was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five assists.
Daystar Academy bumped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.0 points per game. As for Valeo Academy, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Daystar Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Islamic Foundation at 6:30 p.m. on February 1st. As for Valeo Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Trinity Oaks Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
