Oak Harbor has gone a perfect 7-0 against Fostoria recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Rockets will head out on the road to square off against the Redmen at 4:45 p.m. Oak Harbor is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
Oak Harbor can't be too worried about heading out to take on Fostoria: they just beat Maumee at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Rockets had just enough and edged out the Panthers 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rockets have posted since April 21st.

Nolan Bickelhaupt made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brayden Butzin, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Alex Rife was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Fostoria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Otsego.
Trent Smith made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Xzavier Willmarth, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
Oak Harbor pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Fostoria, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-17.
Oak Harbor took their win against Fostoria in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rockets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
