The Hanahan Hawks had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with a 35-24 victory over Beaufort. For Hanahan, this counts as revenge for the 49-14 defeat Beaufort walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2022.
It was another big night for Kevon Rivera, who rushed for 195 yards and two touchdowns. Rivera hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Julius Hippensteel, who threw for 249 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dorell Depass, who rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown. Depass really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Samari Bonds, who rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Hanahan has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Beaufort, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 6-4.
Hanahan will be playing in front of their home fans against Aynor at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Beaufort, they will head out on the road to face off against Loris at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Loris has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 169 points over their last four games.
