The state championship games are just days away for the top Texas girls basketball teams. We look at where the top 10 teams in the state rank nationally.

Duncanville - No. 2The Panthers are going for their fourth UIL state title in the last six years. Duncanville (37-2) will play Judson (Converse) (28-6) in the 6A state semifinals on March 3. The next day is the state title game.
Mansfield Timberview (Arlington) - No. 6The Wolves advanced to the 5A state semifinals and will face Corpus Christi Flour Bluff (29-9) on March 2. Mansfield Timberview (36-2) has won 31 of its last 32 games.
Amarillo - No. 20The Sandies (37-2) had their dream season cut short in a 46-42 loss to Canyon in a 5A regional final. Amarillo had split a regular-season series with Canyon.
Canyon - No. 23The Eagles soared past Amarillo in a regional final to advance to the 5A state semifinals. Canyon (29-3) faces Barbers Hill (Mont Belvieu) (34-4), a team it hasn't faced all year, on March 2.
Clear Springs (League City) - No. 27The Chargers got all the way to the 6A regional finals before falling to Cypress Ranch (Houston) 59-56 in a nail-biter. Clear Springs had rattled off 15 wins in a row prior to the season-ending loss.
Argyle - No. 36The Eagles have been playing well this season, winning 14 games by 40 or more points. Argyle (35-2) won its 4A regional title and will face Wharton (32-6) in the state semifinals on March 3. It is looking for back-to-back state titles.
Bishop Lynch (Dallas) - No. 57The Friars (33-4) won their 28th TAPPS state title, beating Parish Episcopal (Dallas) 68-50 on Feb. 25. Legendary coach Andy Zihlman now has over 950 career wins and 25 state championships.
The Colony - No. 61The Cougars (32-2) lost to Mansfield Timberview (Arlington) in a region matchup to put an end to a solid season.
Judson (Converse) - No. 71The Rockets (28-6) will have the ultimate test in the 6A state semifinals, playing defending champs Duncanville. Judson lost two of its final regular-season games, but has turned it up in the playoffs.
Wagner (San Antonio) - No. 72The Thunderbirds (25-5) had a tough draw against Johnson in regions and lost 72-61. Wagner was also beaten by Johnson in the regular season.
