The Sebring Blue Streaks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. Everything went their way against DeSoto County as Sebring made off with a 65-39 win. Sebring has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.
Sebring was led to victory by Gileanys Nieves Martinez and Ashlyn Radonski. Nieves Martinez scored 18 points, while Radonski scored 17 points. Radonski continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shamari Jones, who scored four points along with five rebounds.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cherish Wiggins, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Janeris Bing, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Even though they lost, DeSoto County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sebring only pulled down four offensive rebounds.
Sebring now has a winning record of 7-6. As for DeSoto County, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
