The biggest upset of the week belonged to Henry Clay, who took down 53rd ranked Henry Clay, 22-19. Trent Bauer threw for 118 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
Bryan Station suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after falling to Scott County. The Defenders had been ranked 25th, but fell to 28.
Dunbar's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Antwan Williams chipped in 95 yards. Brandyn Duncan helped Dunbar's passing attack out by catching four balls for 32 yards.
Emory Thompson was the best wideout in 6A District 7 this week as the Bulldogs bested the Blue Devils. Thompson tallied one reception for 50 yards.
Dunbar's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bulldogs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Thompson has thrown for 612 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Taylor Smith has 23 catches for 555 yards. Williams leads the league in rushing with 342 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Henry Clay takes on Bryan Station. At the moment, Sam Simpson's team is in fourth, while Frank Parks' team is in second.
The Cardinals extended the longest winning streak in 6A District 7 this week by beating the Defenders, 40-20. The win marks sixth in a row for the Scott County.
