League recap: Benet Academy extends winning streak with victory over Oswego

Benet Academy extended the longest winning streak in East Suburban Catholic this week by beating Oswego, 28-13. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Redwings.

St. Viator's Bob Calmeyn and John Balas have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Calmeyn has thrown for 1761 yards this season, while Balas, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 33 catches for 535 yards. Joliet Catholic Academy's Ty Isaac leads the league in rushing yards with 1042.

The Hilltoppers led the league in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Tinley Park. Isaac ran for 150 yards in the win.
