Chambers/Wheeler Central scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They really took it to St. Edward for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-13 victory at home. The win was a breath of fresh air for Chambers/Wheeler Central as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Among those leading the charge was Annabel Waldo, who scored 21 points. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Klabenes, who scored 11 points.
Stuart suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 71-26 loss at the hands of St. Mary's. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Stuart has scored all season.
Chambers/Wheeler Central's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Stuart, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
Chambers/Wheeler Central skirted past Stuart 32-29 in their previous matchup on January 9th. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chambers/Wheeler Central since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
