Excel Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke Kelley, who scored 20 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Kelley has scored at least 25% of Excel Christian Academy's points. Kaiden Ward was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Detroit bumped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Excel Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
