The Valley Vikings had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell to Carroll County 39-33.
Carroll County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Grayson Kinman, who scored 7 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Butcher, who scored 7 points along with 3 blocks.
Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Carroll County, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley will challenge Atherton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carroll County, they will head out on the road to face off against Cornerstone Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
