The Desert Christian Eagles stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They breezed by San Manuel on the road to the tune of 73-11. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Desert Christian has managed all season.
Desert Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adam Valvala, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Valvala has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Tyson Dobbins was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with four steals.
Desert Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for San Manuel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-13.
Desert Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against St. David at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. St. David will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 287th, while Desert Christian is ranked 114th). As for San Manuel, they will head out on the road to challenge Desert Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
