Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Winona). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Edwards a 19-0 shutout on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for Winona as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.
Wyatt Boone made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jake Pearson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and six RBI. Another player making a difference was Tomarion Brown, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
