Softball Recap: Lincoln North Star Victorious

Lincoln North Star won the last time they faced Lincoln Northeast and things went their way on Saturday too. The Navigators walked away with a 13-9 victory over the Rockets. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Navigators.

Remy Sunken was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Sunken was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Nevaeh Miller-Willis was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Knox, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Lincoln North Star kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 9-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Lincoln North Star's win bumped their record up to 11-18. As for Lincoln Northeast, they dropped their record down to 11-21 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Lincoln North Star nor the Rockets have any future games scheduled.
