R.A. Long had lost three straight, but after bumping their record up to 8-13 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 17-12 win over the Hockinson Hawks. Considering the Lumberjacks' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Edie Korpi (2026) was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up seven earned (and five unearned) runs off eight hits. Those 14 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two stolen bases. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

As for Hockinson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games.
On Hockinson's side, Allisyn Watson led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Maggie Ritton was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
