After flying high against Salisbury last Thursday, Wheatmore came back down to earth. The Wheatmore Warriors came up short against the West Davidson Dragons on Friday, falling 16-6. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.
Maddie Nichols made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Hannah Shoe, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
