The South Harrison Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the Clay County Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Harrison is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
South Harrison's game on Wednesday was all tied up 26-26 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell to Calhoun 59-54.
Meanwhile, Clay County lost to Gilmer County on the road by a decisive 55-37 margin on Tuesday. Clay County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
South Harrison has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Clay County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.
Everything came up roses for South Harrison against Clay County in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 111-29 win. With South Harrison ahead 51-11 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
