The Bosco Tech Tigers won the last time they faced the La Salle Lancers, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Bosco Tech took down La Salle 62-47. Given Bosco Tech's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while La Salle is ranked 492nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ryan Osborne was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Jaden Erami was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds.
La Salle's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emmitt Claiborne, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Hajjar, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Bosco Tech's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for La Salle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bosco Tech's road trip will continue as they head out to face St. Genevieve at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th.
