The Eagletown Eagles lost against the Clayton Bulldogs back in January of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Eagletown took a 57-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clayton. Eagletown has struggled against Clayton recently, as their game on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Tyler Clemons was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds for Clayton. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Stefen Lewis, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Eagletown has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Clayton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4.
Eagletown will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Haworth at 6:30 p.m. on January 12, 2024. Clayton won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Vanoss at 5:30 p.m. on December 15th.
