With a playoff win on the line, Pe Ell/Willapa Valley rose to the challenge on Friday. They put the hurt on the River View Panthers with a sharp 28-5 win. Pe Ell/Willapa Valley's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Pe Ell/Willapa Valley got a massive performance out of Addison Merkel, who got on base in 13 of her four plate appearances with two runs. The dominant performance also gave Merkel a new career-high in hits (11). Another player making a difference was Jillian Hodel, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with five runs, one triple, and one double.
