Make it 14 blowout wins for the Legend Titans this season. They claimed a resounding 65-18 win over Heritage on the road. Winning may never get old, but Legend sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Katie Lamb was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Maley Wilhelm, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and five steals.
When it comes to explaining why Heritage lost on Monday, one person who can't be blamed is Avalon Lux-offermann. Despite the final result, she scored four points along with six rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Heritage struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Legend pulled down 22 offensive rebounds.
Legend's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-1. As for Heritage, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Legend will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mountain Vista at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Mountain Vista focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Saturday.
