Bear River has gone 9-1 against Box Elder recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Bears will head out to face off against the Bees at 3:30 p.m. Bear River is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Bear River made easy work of Stansbury and carried off a 12-2 win. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Stallions recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Brielle Gardiner was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alice Roche, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Molly Canfield was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Bear River always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stansbury only posted an OBP of .391.
Meanwhile, Box Elder faced Clearfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Bees came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 5-1.
Like Bear River, Box Elder also got a great game from a two-way player: Kennadie Blackmer. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Blackmer has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
In other pitching news, Lucy Braegger looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
Back at the plate, Izibel Mason was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Bear River's record is now 21-6. As for Box Elder, their record now sits at 20-3.
Bear River got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Box Elder by a conclusive 10-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
