Trinity Prep typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Crusaders by a score of 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now won nine in a row.

Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-19, 25-14, 25-20.

Despite the defeat, Trinity Prep had strong showings from Tabitha Gunning, who had 11 aces and six digs, and Chloe Sanchez, who had eight aces and four digs. Gunning is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Lilanny Reyes- Mendoza was another key player, getting five aces and four digs.

Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Trinity Prep, their loss ended a seven-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy will square off against North Hills Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity Prep, they will face off against Marin Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
