The Bear Creek Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 26 points or more this season. They took their contest on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 61-18 victory over Conifer. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Bear Creek as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bear Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Olivia Kan, who scored nine points along with five assists and three steals. Those five assists set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Samantha Johnson, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Bear Creek's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Conifer, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bear Creek will challenge Gateway at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Gateway comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Conifer, they will head out on the road to face off against Green Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
