TAPPS Division III District 3 recap October 22, 2013
First Baptist added to the longest winning streak in TAPPS Division III District 3 this week by beating Highlands, 52-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
The Blazers fell to First Baptist 52-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Max Partlo threw for 151 yards and 4 touchdowns. He went 9-18 with 0 interceptions.
Bakari Killo was the best running back in the league this week. In 19 carries, he ran for 57 yards as Dallas Lutheran fell to Coram Deo Academy. Daniel Wall also contributed to the rushing game with 43 yards on the ground.
Marcus Ketter of the Garland Christian Academy's is a few catches away from breaking 1,000 yards for the season. He needs only 31 receiving yards in this week's game against the Lions to get there. So far this year, he has garnered 71 catches for 969 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Dallas Lutheran takes on the Swordsmen. At the moment, John Bronkhorst's team is in fourth, while Garland Christian Academy is in second.
